Growing up... The final frontier.

I was up to date with this site till my camera went caput (that is why a camera is on my list). I got about 210 photos of twenty up and documented. It is surreal that I am going to be 21 on Friday. This surely has been a fast year.

I love this shot. I don't know if myer or mom took it. I do know that it was taken at the Joslin art gallery in Omaha, Ne. we drove up for the day with Mom, Myer, Rachel, and Eric.

I think this is maybe how Todd sees me (considering he is six foot eight and I am a mere five foot one).

My life is tough right now but I am trying to make it through.

Ok.
I have been working hard and playing hard and sleeping hard, so I guess my life is really hard to take right now.
A few highlights:
-Started girl's night again with Season 3 of Project Runway
-Saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
-Fixed my car
-Started my Fall line
-Joined a D&D group! w00t!
-saw Mr. Smith Goes to Washington on the silver screen
-Made a Black Hole Upside-down Cake, Zucchini and Potato Chili, Peach Buckle, and popsicles.
-Started studying Chinese again
-Took on a secondary painting job

I am relatively happy.

Day 7 Road trip Travalathon
Today was our biggest Roadside Attraction day.
This is me at the Largest Twine Ball (wound by one man) in Darwin, MN.
We got lost but saw a lot of good stuff.
We stayed in Clear Lake Iowa again.

Day 6 roadside travalathon
Mom and I went to the mall in Duluth last night. I got 2 new pairs of shoes and a Hoodie!
When I was little my favorite book was this book about this girl and all the different shoes she had. At the end her mom buys her and her doll new shoes. Her mother finds her and her doll fast asleep in the morning still wearing their new shoes.
Mom couldn't resist getting a picture when she woke to the same thing the next morning. lol
We roadtriped it to the Twin Cities today.
We got to see the Fitzgerald Theatre and Eat at Mickey's Diner. Woot!

Day 3 road trip travalathon
We drove from Duluth to Lutsen.
We detoured a bit to go to Finland where we stopped to take a photo op at this tree sign for pizza. The car almost rolled into Baptism Creek while mom was taking this photo.
We got to Lutsen in time for smores with my semi-cousins.

Myer and Trevor breezed through town last night. I got to see them all too briefly. Myer, Trevor and mom came over to see my apartment. I served popsicles and gave backrubs.

It was too short a visit. I missed him so much!

We all went to a park whose name I couldn't pronounce and had hotdogs and baked beans.
Mom and I drove home in the afternoon.
My apartment had a party in our back yard this evening.

I woke up to the most pain I had ever been in. I went downstairs to borrow some painkillers from Mollie, and when they started to take affect I called mom. She picked me up and we went to get Doughnuts at Lamar's. When she took me home I just crashed. I slept till noonish when mom brought over burritos. She went home to nap and so I napped also.
We went to Wal-Mart after a while to get pictures developed and whatnot.

I gave a massage today.
Andreas got back from New Orleans yesterday so we ended up getting together today. We hung out for a bit then decided to go and get Kari and go to Jazz in June. On the way my transmission quit. I coasted around the corner here and called a tow. Andreas and I waited for it and then walked to Kari's. We all went to Jazz in June and met Briton there. It was fun, and it was ok about my car because it was bound to happen sooner or later. This whole situation also happened in a dream I had about a year ago. I even took this picture in the dream. Talk about De-Ja-Vu.

I followed my intuition today.
I ended up driving out to Holms Lake for a walk. I ended up walking around the entire lake. As I was walking, I saw a turtle laying eggs in the sand. Right next to it a Great Heron took off and flew over the path I was taking and down into the valley below. When I was don't marveling at it I looked back to my path and there, not 20 feet in front of me on the path, was another great heron. It took off and glided toward the lake as I neared it. It was amazing!
Mom got home today. I drove her to dinner at Don & Millie's and then back to my place to watch Hot Pursuit with John Cusack. It was a hoot.

I got up early and went to First-Plymouth for an eastern religions class this morning. We talked about Hinduism. It was so interesting!
I ended up going to the library to get a copy of the Bagavad-Gita and some other books. I went to mom's and layed in my hamoch to start reading the Bagavad-Gita. I am really enjoying it.
I am in high spirits today. I finally got to hear Jim Keck(senior Minister elect to First-Plyomuth) give a serman. He is so Hilarous! He has so much spunk and charisma. I think I am really going to enjoy all the sermans to come.

I transported my sewing machine and table to my apartment in my newly working car today. I spent the day listening to Outlander and working on sewing projects. I fixed an old shirt of Myer’s, the precautions shirt, so that I could wear it on Sunday.
It was a good day.

I helped Mona finish the classroom. Mollie helped me carry some shelves to my apartment. I spent the afternoon setting them up and unpacking the last of my boxes. I finally feel moved in.

I worked at Everett to help Mona again today.
Tom gave me a trick to make my car work and I celebrated my car working again by taking an intoxicated friend home. If it is not one thing it's another, he opened my sunroof, which got stuck, and a storm was coming into town. Super John helped me force it shut and calked it to keep it from leaking.
I listened to Outlander while I put together the poster from Joel to hang behind the entertainment system.

I went to Everett to have lunch with Mom and Mona. After school mom and I went on some errands.
I made Arhia some art today. I wanted to get it finished so mom could take it to Wisconsin to her.
I hung out in Amanda's apartment this evening. Brad had brought over the first season of Arrested Development. We watched the pilot and second episode before Brad had to go home.
It was fun.

I finished the deck today. John and I got some lunch at culvers.
He dropped me off at mom's so I could do some laundry.
I walked home and ended up doing some art and listening to my book on tape.
I put some music on in the evening and had a party of one.
