I followed my intuition today.
I ended up driving out to Holms Lake for a walk. I ended up walking around the entire lake. As I was walking, I saw a turtle laying eggs in the sand. Right next to it a Great Heron took off and flew over the path I was taking and down into the valley below. When I was don't marveling at it I looked back to my path and there, not 20 feet in front of me on the path, was another great heron. It took off and glided toward the lake as I neared it. It was amazing!
Mom got home today. I drove her to dinner at Don & Millie's and then back to my place to watch Hot Pursuit with John Cusack. It was a hoot.
